This is an updated (and complete) torrent originally uploaded by [Maga]Zine I spent a whole weekend trying out different torrents to get iPod games working on my family's iPods and this was the only one that worked. I put [Maga]Zine torrents together, which includes games and firmwares for 5g and 5.5g iPods. I also updated the iPodWizard program with the latest version. The following instructions were written by [Maga]Zine and unchanged by myself (well written and easy to follow). Installation Instructions Step 1: Extract the RAR file from the torrent. Step 2: Plug in your iPod. Make sure it is enabled for disk use, and the "Do Not Disconnect" logo is flashing. Step 3: Open up your iPod in "My Computer". Enable hidden files and folders in "Folder Options". Step 4: Open up the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 5: Paste the "Games_RO" folder into the "iPod_Control" folder. Step 6: Open up iPodWizard (it's a standalone file, no need to install) Step 7: Change the edit mode to "Firmware File". Step 8: Click "Open Firmware" and choose either "5g Firmware.bin" or "5.5g Firmware.bin" based on weather you have a 5g or a 5.5g iPod. If you choose the wrong one, you will have to boot into disk mode and restore your iPod. Step 9: Click "Write to iPod" Step 10: Follow the instructions on the screen. Eject the iPod when it is done. Step 11: Reset your iPod by holding in the center button and play/pause button until the apple logo appears Step 12: Go to Extras > Games on your iPod, choose your game, and enjoy. What does 5.5 g means? I have a Ipod classic 160g, does this work for me?
5.5 is the generation firmware on your ipod. If in your menu it includes a "search" feature you have 5.5 if it doesn't then you have 5, hope this helps. and for kaka_22 if you update your ipod you go back to original apple firmware, once you do this you lose your games. You are not able to update it or your games are lost. I believe this was in the description. I have all these games already but thanks anyways seirio your generosity will be rewarded.

I finished downloading i downloaded the newest version of Ipod Wizard and then i moved the games to the hidden folder on my ipod and then i opened Ipod Wizard changed over to Firmware File and then i opened the firmware for Gen 5.0 Ipod and the i tried to write it to the ipod and then it gave me an error i have no idea what to do i dont think i did anything wrong can someone help me out

Ok, so now i have an ipod with fancy games but all other content except for my photos has been wiped, im not too stressed i have 90% backed up, however i have a 30gig 5G and its telling me i have only 7.8gig free space, how big are the games when extracted onto the ipod? are my songs/videos still on there but not being recognized? any help would be appreciated
ok after further inspection the content was still on the ipod but not able to be viewed/played, so i used Ipod Access to get the non backed up content off my ipod so i wouldnt care if it did infact wipe my ipod, However now fixing all this itunes has kindly removed my brand new games and restored use of my ipod. HMM, i have it set to manually update and have kept the old firmware installed....this is slighty puzzling, but im sure ill fix it up. Kudos on a great Up Serio.

I have the 5.5g ipod but it version 1.3 and when i plug it into the computer and look in my computer, it say removable disk and when i open ipod wizard it doesn't find my ipod and when i try opening it, it says i have to format it. So i format it but it doesn't help at all. any help?

I followed the instructions to a T and the first time I had a hard time. So what I did was remove all my stuff. (It was still all in my itunes so no biggie at all) Put the games on then put all my stuff back on. Peice of cake. People are making it harder than it seems. You gotta work with it. Not expect it to be just mgaically appear on your ipod. If you don't want to bother putting a little effort into it....just buy it! Thanks sierio by the way. Not all the games went onto my ipod but otherwise fun to plya the rest of the games!

first, this is my first time doing this so...i extracted the files to my desktop just for ease of finding them. followed step for step. when i clicked on "open firmware", there wasn't any. it opened the "ipod wizard" folder. so, i copied and pasted the firmware folder in the ipodwizard. clicked on "open firmware" again, opened the firmware file and selected the proper firmware (5g). when i clicked on "write to ipod" it gives this error..."error writing firmware! code: -1,22,13836800" what am i doing wrong? someone please help.

For those who need this help....
You cannot sync your ipod. You can plug it into the computer but don't sync it. If you want to update your ipod or add/delete music, drag your playlist or music/video, etc to your ipod(it comes up on the left side with your playlists, etc). When you plug it in, itunes will come up but don't sync it. You have to *manually* do what itunes does automatically...otherwise you will lose these games.

With version 1.2.1 and my current firmware, I didn't have to use your provided firmware.
Every game works for me, except Vortex. But that's a problem on my part, I know.

What does that Step 5 mean: "PASTE THE "GAMES_R0" FOLDER.... blaa blaa. Where is that "Games_R0" folder???? I have no idea where it is.. please help!

trunkki: the games_RO folder should be in the folder you unziped it to. rigth click it and chose "copy" then u open up you ipod folder on "my computer", then open the folder named ipod_control and paste the gamres_ro folder there.
then you open up ipodwizard, select firemware file, then click open firmware. chose the 5G or 5.5G (depending on wich ipod you have)

Ok if I'm not mistaken I believe the people having this issue are vista users. In that case, right click the iPodWizard and "Run as administrator." After that, just follow the instructions and it should work!

All of the firmware rewrites erases your music list.

Ok, for the record, this ONLY WORKS on 5, and 5.5g version of the iPod Video Classic (big, bulky, hard drive version... comes in White and Black). You can find out which version you have by looking in your menu. If you do NOT have a search option, you have a 5g. If you DO have a search option, you have a 5.5g. Simple as that. And you can get a list of models, and what they look like on Apple's site, and on Wiki. As far as the iPod erasing after you flash? False. It will erase your music and videos if you do not EJECT the iPod before unplugging it. You can do this in iTunes, OR Explorer (right click on your ipod under "drives" and click "eject") Wait for the menu to pop up on your iPod, THEN unplug. This will happen even if you are on the NEWEST firmware. And has NOTHING to do with this hack.
